Welcome!

KERYGMA MUSIC MINISTRY

The members of Kerygma Music Ministry serve with pride, integrity and dedication to our ministry. Through our efforts we hope to uplift the congregation of San Felipe de Jesus Parish through music and to encourage the active participation of all members and visitors in the Holy Prayer of the Mass. Music is an important and integral part of San Felipe de Jesus worship. We welcome you to join us on the celebration of life through the worship of our Lord Jesus Christ
After our formation as a Church Choir, back on June, 1998 we search for a home. It was a dream to go back into the ministry after a long absence. Rev. Antonio Ruiz took us under his wing and now we are proud to serve our community through San Felipe de Jesus Parish. As years pass, we have grown stronger every day under the blessing of our Lord Jesus Christ. We encourage every parishioner to support and participate heavily as we strive to bring our community into the next level of worship.
KERYGMA

What Does Kerygma Mean?

Kerygma is a Greek word which means "proclamation, announcement, preaching”. In Erasmian Greek pronunciation, which is used in most universities for ancient Greek, both biblical and classical, kerygma is pronounced "kay-roog-ma" where the first "a" is long and the last "a" is short. Related words are kerux ("herald, preacher") and kerusso ("announce, make known, proclaim aloud, preach".
